Austin Raceway Park - Road Race Photos
These photos were submitted by Bob Kramer. The photos and descriptions
are from a web site Bob used to have. At some point Bob is planning
on getting his site going again. Until then, you can enjoy some
of his efforts here. Thanks Bob!

| Nick England provided these first 2 photos, including a shot of his Mercury
outboard motor powered H-Mod Sports Racer that participated in a race at
ARP in the late in October 1966. He's looking for info and pictures of this car.
|
Austin 10/8/1966. Some formula cars in the ARP paddock. The pink car in the
background is Hugh Grammer's Beach Mk4B sports racer. I hope these two paddock
photos are the beginning of an onslaught of information on ARP.

| These two photos were provided by Phil Gerrow, an Austin import car repair
guy that raced extensively at ARP and Green Valley. This photo shows him
driving a Sunbeam Imp around Green Valley. I'll replace it with an ARP
shot....as soon as I get some more. Please help!
|
Phil Gerrow in the "Pit Stop" Imp, leading a Mini, VW Bug and a Renault
through the staging lanes onto the front straight. This picture would have
been taken from the locally famous Oil Derrick that was relocated to the
track, and served as race central. Phil operates an auto repair shop in
Austin called International Motors.

| Wayne Hill was working corners at ARP in the late 60's. He now takes and
sells race photos at SCCA and CVAR events. He sent this pictures of a
TR3A on Riverside Drive during the River City Races held in conjunction
with AquaFest. We can set up a page for the RCRR as well, send me your stuff.
|
Phil Gerrow saved this Driver Pass from an SCCA event at ARP. The course
was run clockwise only. Spectators entered the track from Bratton Lane,
and drove past the paddock and made a left running right next to the track
to get to the parking lot and stands.
