Austin Raceway Park RIP

As of December 2009, Austin Raceway Park still exists. That is to say, about half of the original asphalt still exists. However, the remainder of the track is certainly destined to be swallowed up by business park development. Below is a relatively current aerial photo of the track. And for those who might be interested in pilgrimage it might not be to late to visit what once was a vibrant symbol of Austin's drag racing past.
