"After 32 years, Dick has realized his dream of a new museum facility in his hometown of San Marcos, Texas and is retiring the location in Rosanky.  Approximately 93 vehicles will be offered, 88 without reserve.  Mr. Burdick will be closing the Rosanky location of the Central Texas Museum of Automotive History and moving his base of operations completely to the new facility, Dick's Classic Garage in San Marcos, Texas."[1] It appears that the closing process has already begun as of January. Thunderhill Raceway first Test and Tune By: motoraustin 29 days ago

Thunderhill News from Mickey Paul McKim... Thunderhill Raceway is having their first Test & Tune on Feb. 4th 2012. I spoke with owner about having a swap meet and she gave me the OK ! Swap Meet will take place in the spectator parking area. 7:30 til dark. There will be access to the spectator area restrooms. There will be trash cans so we can keep our area clean. Rain or Shine. I have started spreading the word on other websites and to anyone I talk to. Feel free to share this information with friends and other websites. "Admission is Free to everyone Including Vendors". This is an automotive related swap meet. I had to throw that out there because I have got e-mails from people thinking this was a flee market type event. If you plan to attend you may plan on bringing food & drink. I am still checking to see if the track will have concessions. I play with old cars but I race also. This will be a good opportunity for my fellow racers and hot rodders to buy , sell & swap stuff. If anyone has any questions they can contact me. Murpho's currently has openings available for a mechanic, fabricator and bodyman. All must be able to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions encountered with hot rods and vintage cars. We are looking for people that are self-starters that don’t need hand holding but can take direction without attitude. Anyone that is brought into the shop needs to have a true passion for hot rods and restorations, great attention to detail and a personally that fits. Pay will depend on experience and skill set. MOTOR Texas (beta) went live on November 1, 2011. Phase 1 is a basic listing of car shows in Texas. We are still tweaking it and slowly adding car shows. We wanted to get it out there so Google could sniff it and be friends. Phase 2 is a secret, and might take a long time. Hey, give me a break, OK? It's just me and Coke Zero slingin' code in the back office. You probably will notice a slight resemblance to MOTOR Austin. We call that 'leverage' or 'branding' or 'a heck of a lot easier'.
