MOTOR Austin is laser focused on listing car shows in Austin Texas and surrounding towns within 120 miles.

Our focus is exotic car shows, modern sports cars, antique and classic car shows, muscle car shows and open car shows.

We only list car shows that strive for a positive image of the car culture.

Mission

The mission of MOTOR Austin is to promote the automotive enthusiast culture in the greater Austin area.

How do we manifest the mission? We list car shows and related events, car clubs and resources of interest to auto enthusiasts.

Our History

MOTOR Austin was created in October 2005 as a personal project to centralize and organize the many interesting Austin area car shows, hot rod events, car clubs and businesses that directly or indirectly support the culture of hot rods, muscle cars, classic cars, customs, and american sports cars.

In early 2008 the site was rebranded as I shifted efforts from other projects to focus on MOTOR Austin.

During the next few years visitors to MOTOR Austin increased steadily. The events list was by far the most popular part of MOTOR Austin.

In 2010, I got the crazy idea to use MOTOR Austin as a model for the entire state of Texas. Why not help grow the car culture statewide?

On November 1, 2011, I launched the MOTOR Texas website to focus on events and attractions at the state level.

MOTOR Austin and MOTOR Texas continue to grow and I am as committed to the vision today as I was when I started in 2005.
